Primary FSL Prep Effective immediately,
For an indefinite period, but not to extend beyond June 27, 2025 Mandatory Requirements: Basic qualifications to teach in the Primary Division
French as a Second Language Part 1 Preferred Requirements: Sound knowledge of the programs and teaching experience in the listed division
Repertoire of current instructional and assessment strategies
Proficient fluency in French as a Second Language
Knowledge and experience in utilizing student learning management systems such as Google Classroom, Google Meet as well as additional G-Suite digital tools and EDSBY, to facilitate instruction and effective communication with parents
Demonstrated effective communication skills and the ability to work in a team environment
Understanding of the Ontario Catholic Curriculum and effective strategies to teach Literacy and Numeracy
Knowledge and experience in implementing balanced literacy and the use of student data to drive instruction
Understanding and experience in implementing the CEFR approach into FSL instruction
Commitment to supporting the use of technology in instruction and learning, and to promoting an environment of innovation and creativity that engages the 21st century learner
Proven ability to implement effective classroom management strategies
Commitment to being an active participant in the school's professional learning team to promote student achievement
Willingness to actively assume extra-curricular duties
Knowledge of, and familiarity with, the school environment would be an asset
