Start Date: As soon as possible Duties/Responsibilities:
The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Superintendent of Schools and will be responsible for helping to deliver the Drivers Education Program to students of the Chinook School Division.The successful candidate will have a commitment to the vision, mission, principles and goals of the Chinook School Division.Qualifications Possesses strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrates effective communication skills
Must meet all requirements outlined by SGI for admission into Driver Educator training: Held a valid Class 5 license with a minimum of 5 consecutive years of experience.
Hold a valid Class 4 license or higher or be able to obtain a Class 4 license prior to the instructor course
Have a satisfactory driving record over the past 10 years
Provide detailed resume outlining experience, job history, and two job related references
Provide transcripts to prove grade 12 education or higher
Provide a criminal record check and vulnerable sector search dated within 30 days prior to application to the course
Meet English language requirements in both spoken and written English
Possessing a High School Driver Education Instructors Certificate is an asset
Demonstrates a willingness to undergo training
Possesses the ability and experience in working with students
Ability to obtain a certificate of good health from a qualified medical practitioner
Experience as a teacher, or as an instructor in another discipline is an asset
Demonstrates the ability to work as a team member
Demonstrates a commitment to truth and reconciliation
Demonstrates a commitment to supporting diversity and inclusion
