Closing Date November 8, 2024Westwood Community High School is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our instructional team in the role of Junior High English Language Arts Teacher. Requirements: Bachelor of Education

The Ideal Candidate would possess the following background, philosophy, and experience:

Bachelor of Education

Alberta Teaching Certificate, or is eligible to obtain certification in Alberta.

Experience teaching in a junior high school setting with knowledge of junior high English Language Arts Program .

Knowledge and familiarity with Assessment for Learning, Literacy, and Differentiated Instruction practices.

Effective organizational and classroom management skills are imperative.

Ability to integrate and use technology in a regular and virtual classroom.

Ability to create goals for Individual Program Plans and implement the plan for students.

A strong ability to build relationships with students, staff, and parents.

Strong technology skills are required, with knowledge of Google Platform applications and PowerSchool an asset.

Flexible TEAM player.
