FRENCH TEACHER
Jan-June 2025 Term Contract (o.3 FTE)

Join a strong team of experienced and engaged teachers and staff at Whistler Waldorf School in beautiful Whistler, BC. We are currently seeking a qualified and experienced French Teacher to teach a 0.3 FTE (full-time equivalent) term from January- June 2025 with a possibility of a further extending contract for the 2025/26 school year. This position would likely be scheduled three times a week (min. 10 hours) with a start date of January 7, 2025.
WWS offers its faculty professional development, a balanced lifestyle with summer and school holiday breaks, and tuition remission for those applicants who may have children (dependent on contracted hours). Limited contract teacher positions start at $15,000-$25,000/per year but may be combined with a second teachable subject for full-time hours where available. The perfect candidate will be : Fully certified BC teacher (or be eligible to apply for a BC license) with a Bachelor's degree of Education or equivalent post-secondary graduation, diploma and/or technical certificate relating to the position.
Qualified with 1+ years of teaching experience.
A Canadian citizen and/or eligible to work in Canada with a current Criminal Record Check.
Professional with excellent communication and collaborative skills, with the ability to foster team-based relationships with students, parents, and other Faculty/ Administrative Staff colleagues. Bonus points: Certified and/or trained in Waldorf Education or may be willing to become Waldorf teacher trained is a plus.
A French language specialty and/or second teachable subject is an asset to combine for full-time positions. Whistler Waldorf School offers all teachers and staff: Competitive salary based on relevant education and work experience and possibly rental housing in Whistler.
