Grade 4/5 Teacher

Position to start about January 6, 2025 to June 27, 2025

Elm Street School is seeking applications for a full-time Grade 4/5 teacher who will be tasked with teaching the Grade 4/5 curriculum, as well as Gr. 6 English Language Arts.

The idea candidate will: Have an understanding about Teacher Clarity

Understand creating success criteria and learning targets for students

Understand the Science of Reading

Have strong communication with the necessary stakeholders on students ongoing progress and can speak to how they communicate efforts to all stakeholders

Have an understand of strategies to differentiate activities to serve diverse learning needs

Contribute to a community of learners and seek out innovative teaching practices

Collaborate with colleagues to integrate cross curricular instructional practices

Maintain an Inclusive mindset to build a strength-based learning environment to support student diversity

Engage parents and create healthy relationships with students and colleagues.

Implement the Collaborative Response Model

Use data and current assessment/feedback practices to support, document and inform instructional practiceElm Street School is an elementary school in Medicine Hat, serving approximately 120 students from Kindergarten to Grade 6. Elm Street School maintains an Inclusive mindset where all students belong, feel safe, and have ongoing opportunities to learn.
