The starting annual salary for this full-time School Teacher position ranges from $61,838 to $108,458, with placement on the July 1, 2024 Teacher Salary Grid based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
Job Summary & Responsibilities
The teacher must be able to create inquiry/project-based learning experiences that explore big ideas and concepts allowing students to thrive within an environment of complex knowledge construction as opposed to simple information assignments. Students will be expected to demonstrate learning in authentic ways beyond the four walls of a classroom and teachers will facilitate this as an integral part of the assessment cycle. This position is designed for a forward thinking, collaborative educator who thrives in a team environment and is willing to continue to operate on the leading edge of education and adjust practice accordingly.
Education & Experience Degree in Technical Education Specializing in Home Economics
Experience teaching Home Economic and Career courses at the Secondary level
Eligible for B.C. Certification
Satisfactory teacher evaluation and/or final practicum reportsTeaching Competencies
