Permanent Full Time Effective Immediately.

7 hours per day,

5 days per week. The Manager - Plant Operations, provides leadership and oversees day-to-day operations of building and facilities maintenance, cleaning, and health and safety projects, programs, and services for an assigned multi-location facilities including supervision of custodial and maintenance staff.

Qualifications: Completion of post-secondary education in building systems engineering or building environmental systems

Minimum of five years of progressive work experience in plant operations and facility management

Occupational Health and Safety Core Certification - Level 3 and WHIMS Training

Operations of Small Drinking Water Certification

Ontario Class G drivers licence

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

Excellent diplomatic skills

Working knowledge of Ontario Building Code, Ontario Fire Code, Ontario Electrical Code, Ontario Plumbing Code, Canadian Safety Standards, WHMIS, OHS Act. Environmental Protection Act, Safe Drinking Water Act, Play Space Regulations, Labour Relations Act, Employment Standards Act, Board Policies and Procedures; CUPE Collective Agreement

Computer literate, knowledge and experience in the use of word processing and spreadsheet programs in keeping with latest programs supplied by Board
