Eastbrook Elementary, located in Brooks Alberta, is seeking applications for a full time Educational Assistant to work with students, to prepare them for the grades ahead. This position requires an applicant who works well under pressure and in energetic environments while upholding the values of the division. This role requires pertinence, kindness, and resiliency, and an understanding of the importance, of this role, for our students, colleagues, and community. There are multiple positions available and vary in contract duration and part time and full time status.

Job Duties: support students in instruction as well as social and behavioral needs
encourage positive interactions between students and staff;
work closely and collaboratively with school staff including, but not limited to, classroom teachers and administration;
position may include activities such as lifting, transferring, and providing personal care, as necessary; and
position may have involvement in student school activities such as swimming or outdoor sports and may require the EA to participate with students. Ideal candidates skills & abilities: Strong communication skills; written, verbal and reading
Ability to assist with all subject areas
Excellent problem solving, organizational and multitasking skills

Education and Certifications: High School diploma
