About the Position

At Calgary Academys Castel Caf, customer satisfaction matters. In a high volume, high traffic cafe, the Point of Sale Assistant will act as a brand ambassador for the cafe menu at the school o ffering personalized, efficient and effective forward facing transaction experiences for all stakeholders. This is a Part-Time position that would work 20 hours per week Monday to Friday from 8:30AM 12:30PM following the school calendar operational days.

Salary Range

This positions starting annual salary is $20,682 $ 21 ,612 calculated based on working 20hrs/week and will be determined depending on a candidates experience and competencies. There is opportunity for yearly increases aligned with our commitment to valuing employee contributions and professional growth.

Highlights of Key Responsibilities Responsible for the oversight of the LunchTime POS system Printing pre-order sheets and summarizing students pre-ordered meals

Billing stakeholders for pre-orders

Setting up POS system in lunchroom

Other administration as assigned

Organizing pre-order containers for lunch service

B agging/traying desserts , snacks and drinks

Organization of the serving area inclusive of r e-filling cutlery and napkins , cleaning microwaves and f illing sanitizer bottles

Managing the delivery and timing of pre-orders according to set grade lunchtimes for teacher distribution

Other basic kitchen duties as needed

Able to lift up to 35 pounds

This role is generally made up of the need for 90% standing, 10% sitting Qualifications No formal Education required

0-2 Years of experience on a point-of-sale system or databas e

0- 2 years' experience providing excellent customer with professional communication skills

Independent, quick learner and solves problem effectively

Comfortable working in a forward-facing position with students in grade s K 12
