extensive academic training, professional preparation, and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment at the middle school level

knowledge of, and demonstrated application of the Ministry of Educations current philosophy, teaching practices, and evaluation/assessment/reporting procedures as applied to all areas of this assignment

appropriate professional preparation in the teaching of Home Economics (a university teaching major, its equivalent, or experience directly related to the teaching position)

demonstrated competence in teaching all aspects of a Home Economics Program at the Middle School level, using highly successful instructional strategies that engage and motivate Middle School students

demonstrated understanding of the Textiles and Foods and Nutrition Curriculum

demonstrated ability to differentiate instruction for a variety of developmental stages and ability levels

demonstrated sensitivity, awareness and understanding of adolescent development and enthusiasm for working and developing positive relationships with Middle School age students

demonstrated ability to incorporate a wide range of effective classroom management strategies which respect and maintain the dignity of young adolescents

demonstrated ability to identify, work with, and assist students who are experiencing difficulties

an exemplary work ethic with a proven ability to work as an effective team member in an educational setting

consistently well organized and capable of being flexible to meet the changing demands of students at the middle school level

demonstrated ability in utilizing inquiry based and hands-on instructional activities to enhance student learning and engagement in Home Economics
