extensive academic training, professional preparation and qualifications in teaching in all areas of this assignment

demonstrated knowledge and experience of effective strategies to support the development of literacy skills at the Intermediate level; preference will be given to individuals possessing training and experience in Running Records, Balanced Literacy, Daily 5, Guided Reading, and SMART Learning and/or Reading Power

demonstrated ability to use a variety of formative and summative assessments to plan for daily instruction

training and experience in Math Makes Sense, Jump Math, and The SNAP to support a balanced Numeracy approach

demonstrated strength in media literacy skills and the ability to apply skills as instructional tools to support learning in the classroom

demonstrated willingness to work collaboratively as part of an Intermediate Team in the implementation of the B.C. curriculum and a student centered RTI model, included daily implementation of small group targeted instruction

excellent interpersonal skills with students, staff and parents
