Horace Allen School located in Coleman, Alberta is seeking to employ the very best school based staff in Alberta! This position will commence January 6, 2025 and end June 26, 2025 with a possibility of continuing into the 2025-26 school year.
The successful candidate will have knowledge of child development and the importance of play.
The successful candidate will have: Early Childhood Educator certification
Current Police Information Check with a Vulnerable Sector Search
Current Intervention Record Check Desired Qualifications and Attributes: Provide a play based learning environment guided by Alberta's Early Learning and Care Framework
Provide a Reggio-inspired program in an inclusive environment.
Ability to work collaboratively with the Early Learning Learning Support teacher and the school principal/ designate.
Local knowledge and experience with culture and traditions
Ability to build positive relationships with children, parents and staff
A willingness to participate in professional learning activities
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Valid First Aid certificate
Knowledge of, and an ability to ensure that Alberta Child Care Licensing Regulations are followed
Computer skills (access government based documents; record keeping; communication with families) Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
