A VICE PRINCIPAL

For Frank Maddock High School in Drayton Valley, AlbertaApplications are invited for a Probationary Full Time Teacher / Vice Principal

for the 2024-25 School Year.We are seeking a dedicated and engaged instructional leader who is committed to working collaboratively at Frank Maddock High School ensuring a Powerful Learning Environment to improve the life chances of all students. At FMHS, we emphasize wellness, connections, and a flourishing school culture. Utilizing PLCs and a Collaborative Response mindset, we ensure personalized learning opportunities for all of our students. We are searching for "A Warrior" who "Rises Above All Others." This position will include approximately 0.75 Vice Principal Administration Time and 0.25 additional assignable time which may include teaching, career counseling, athletic director, etc (this additional time will be developed based on the experiences of the selected applicant).

Start date will be August 27, 2024.

Frank Maddock High School is a grade 9-12 school of approximately 500 students located in

Drayton Valley, Alberta, 120 km, southwest of Edmonton. Our school's mission is to support

every student on their personal path of self-discovery in preparation for their successful future

beyond high school. Our values of Accountability, Respect, Integrity, Strength and Excellence

guide everything that we do within our school's growth mind-set; achieved through personal

professional growth, professional learning conversations, PLCs and Response to Intervention.

A complete package will include cover letter, resume, names and contact information for three

references and a copy of your Alberta teaching certification in a single Google or pdf document

is required. Please also include a document sharing your aptitude and experiences for instructional leadership, your ability to support teachers to promote a growth mindset, and your personal philosophy around leadership and leadership values.

The successful applicant will be required to provide an original, satisfactory, and recent (within six
