ABOUT US

STEM Collegiate is one of 36, tuition free, public charter schools operating in Alberta. In our inaugural year of operation (2023-2024), we welcomed 257 grade 7-9 students and are expanding to offer grade 10 in 2024-2025. By August 2026, STEM Collegiate will offer a full secondary program from grade 7 to 12. We are excited to offer cutting-edge STEM education in a beautiful, state of the art building located in the south end of the city of Edmonton.

We believe every student can be successful in STEM and should have the opportunity to learn about cutting-edge science and technology topics. Our unique and robust course offerings provide rich experiences that help students explore and expand their interests, while gaining awareness of post-secondary programs and opportunities in STEM fields.

Math and Science are taught as distinct and separate subject matter at STEM Collegiate. This delineation allows our teachers to focus their instruction on ensuring that our students graduate with strong abilities in these subjects, so they have the skills and abilities required to successfully enter, and complete, a post-secondary program in a STEM related field.
