Closing date: Ongoing Fort McMurray Catholic School Division requires certified teachers or teachers eligible for certification to substitute teach in the Division. A Substitute Teacher is a casual teacher of various subjects from our Early Entry Program (EEP) to Grade 12. Often our temporary teaching positions are filled from our Certified Substitute list. Being a Substitute is a great way to experience different classroom environments and the ability to work within a flexible work schedule.Roles and Responsibilities:

Manage students properly and minimize distractions while encouraging student participation

Be attentive to the individual needs of students, ensure they understand the learning material and clarify any questions or concerns

Supervise students in the classroom, in school hallways, on the playground, and during breaks

Provide any assignments based on the lesson plan designed by the regular Teacher

In case of a long-term role, develop lesson plans and assignments that coincide with the original plan designed by the regular TeacherWe offer: Core Values that focus on Persons, Community, Responsibility and Learning
