Position Details School Location:

[St. Brigid Elementary School, Georgetown

Effective Date:

Salary:

$17.20 to $35.75 per hour

Hours:

Fridays: 6:00 pm - 8:30pm (2.5hrs/week) Position Overview Prepare and deliver language lessons, in-person

Organization and maintenance of the classroom, including maintaining daily log of activities, lessons and student attendance

Supervision of students during the 2.5 hours

Instruct students at various levels of linguistic competence

Adhering to and working within parameters of Board Policies and ProceduresQualifications Certified Teachers with qualifications in a second language are preferred

Must exhibit competency in the International Language of instruction and have a good working knowledge of English

Demonstrated successful classroom teaching experience, preferably with elementary students

Strong interpersonal skills when dealing with a variety of learners

High energy an excitement for teaching

Strong organizational skills and excellent interpersonal skillsDocumentation Required Resume and cover letter

Criminal Reference Check including the Vulnerable Sector Screening dated within six months

Copies of certificates, diplomas, designations and/or undergraduate degrees
