School District No. 6 (Rocky Mountain) is searching for a continuing, full-time (1.0 FTE) Vice Principal at Golden Secondary School . This educational leadership role is effective November 4, 2024.

Golden Secondary School is located in the picturesque town of Golden, British Columbia. We acknowledge and respect the wisdom, sacrifices and stewardship (past, present and future) of the Ktunaxa and Secw pemc, on whose beautiful unceded Ancestral homeland we reside. We also honour the rich contributions of the M tis Nation Columbia River Society citizens and the many Indigenous families who call this land home. Golden Secondary School is a Grade 8-12 school with a population of 380 students. Our school is a dual track school that offers French Immersion Programming.

We invite applications from candidates with effective teaching and leadership experience in a secondary school, familiarity with the First Peoples Principles of Learning, the BC Curriculum and Learning Pathways. We are looking for a leader who is service oriented, who follows a student-centered philosophy, and who has a strong commitment to professional growth. A masters degree in administration, leadership, curriculum or other related area is expected to be completed or in progress. The successful candidate must hold or be eligible for a BC Teachers Certificate issued by the Teacher Regulation Branch.
