Peace Wapiti Public School Division (PWPSD) provides service to approximately 6,100 students in Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12 in 34 schools and is one of the largest employers in the Grande Prairie/Spirit River region.HORIZON GROUP CARE (ALTERNATIVE EDUCATION) is seeking candidates with high professional standards, and who are willing to personalize learning to meet the needs of our students. We invite applications for a Probationary Part-Time (0.60 FTE) Teacher (Gr 7-12) .

Peace Wapiti Alternative Education offers a safe and welcoming alternative for PWPSD students in grades 7-12 who might face challenges or obstacles in pursuing their studies in a traditional classroom environment. This position serves students attending our educational program on-site in a group home setting in Sexsmith, AB . The successful candidate will be familiar with Individual Program Planning for students experiencing various academic and social challenges.

Qualifications:

Bachelor of Education degree

Current Alberta Teachers Certificate
