The ideal candidate should possess a combination of education and experience that would serve to enhance the school, staff and students

The successful candidate must: Assist students with social/emotional regulation and enhanced learning needs

Foster peer relationship building, social interactions, and encourage language development

Work with a multi-disciplinary team (Speech, Occupational Therapy and Physical Therapy) to assist with students needs and learning

Form part of a collaborative teaching team that supports students by reinforcing practices taught in the classroom and therapy sessions under the direction of the Classroom Teacher

Must have good organizational skills and be capable of working in a fast-paced, multi-task, team-oriented environment

Possess excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate with school staff, students, and parentsQualifications and Skills: Certificate or diploma in Early Learning and Child Care, or a combination of education/experience preferred

SIVA (Supporting Individuals through Valued Attachments) training an asset

Competent in the use of technology (Power School, Interactive Boards, Google and Microsoft SuiteAs part of a commitment to Catholic education for the students of the Medicine Hat Catholic Board of Education, and as a condition of employment, an individual taking employment within the Division, will undertake to follow, both in and out of your employment with the Division, a lifestyle and deportment in harmony with Catholic Church practices and beliefs which include, among other things, living in harmony with the principles of the Gospel and teachings of the Catholic Church.
