DISTRICT TECHNOLOGY COORDINATOR

0.40 FTE Temporary part-time District Technology Coordinator position, beginning July 2, 2024 to Aug. 31, 2024.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Recent coursework or experience in Educational Technology or a Masters degree.

Experience and leadership in utilizing technology to facilitate instruction;

Experience in providing in-service to staff in the area of technology and learning;

Experience working with student information systems such as MyEducation BC, Brightspace, Destiny and Edplan Insight at the school and district level;

Knowledge and experience working with provincial partners on technology implementation and professional development (i.e., Brightspace, MyEducation BC, Destiny, EdPlan Insight);

Teaching category five or higher; and

Valid B.C. Teaching Certificate and familiarity with B.C. curriculum. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A commitment to understanding and upholding the principles of the SD58 Strategic Plan, inclusive of the goals, vision, and mission of the District;

Excellent interpersonal, collaborative, communicative, and problem-solving skills;

Social/Emotional Learning and an in-depth knowledge of the BC Mental Health Framework;

The starting annual salary for this full-time teacher position ranges from $60,090 - $109,520, with placement on the range based on length of service and qualifications in accordance with the collective agreement.
