Temporary Full Time Effective date to be determined up to one year.
5 days a week,
7 hours per day. Reporting to the Principal of International Education the Coordinator - International Education is responsible for a wide range of program support including communication with homestay parents, students and the schools where International Students are placed. They act as a relationship manager supporting students navigating new experiences away from home. In consultation with the Principal, the Coordinator supports the process of placing students in safe and supportive living situations, appropriate educational programs, and monitoring of progress of students both socially and academically. The incumbent coordinates the ALCDSB homestay program, the student data management system, student files and is responsible for supporting budget development and implementation. After hours work may occasionally be required.
Qualifications: Post-secondary education in Communications, Business Administration or International Studies. Consideration will be given to the equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum two years experience in office administration and program coordination
Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills to enable effective communication with students, families and school communities
Proven accounting skills
Demonstrated diplomacy skills and ability to work in an environment that requires flexibility and respect for privacy
Superior attention to detail organization, time management, problem solving, and record keeping skills. Self-motivated, self-directed, with strong initiative and ability to work effectively both as a member of a team and independently
Capacity to identify emerging problems, seek consultation and make sound decisions
Strong technology skills with proficiency in the use of spreadsheet and database programs in keeping with the latest programs supplied by the Board.
Must possess a valid drivers license and have access to a vehicle in order to travel and provide service throughout the districtThe board is seeking candidates who demonstrate the following Core Competencies:

Salary/ Range:
$61,661 - $67,804 per annum
