Position / Location:

1 Int/Senior Teacher at HANDS The Family Health Network: 770 John Street, North Bay (July 2-Aug 9)Required Teaching Qualifications:

A Valid Ontario College of Teachers Certificate

A Valid Certificate of Registration from the Ontario College of Teachers

Knowledge of Ministry Curriculum and Assessment documents

Qualifications as required in the Primary/Junior/Intermediate/Senior Divisions

Special Education Specialist Qualification or Special Education Part 2 and evidence of working towards Specialist

Position Criteria:?

Ability to work with adult students who have complex needs and/or developmental disabilities who might require support with self-regulation, behavior management, and/or social learning and communication

Ability to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-faceted team supporting students in their academic learning within a clinical/therapeutic setting?

Ability to implement differentiated instruction to support a wide variety of adult student learning needs, including students who have experienced trauma

Effective communication and reporting skills

Experience working with Independent Learning courses and/or online learning content

Ability to write and implement Individual Plans of Care

Valid drivers license?and willingness to travel to more than one site, if necessary (mileage will be paid)

Recent valid vulnerable sector check and criminal reference check (if not currently employed with NNDSB)
