The Peace River School Division is seeking applications for a Part -Time (0.90 f.t.e.) Educational Assistant at cole Springfield Elementary School. This position will commence January 6, 2025 and will continue until June 27, 2025. The successful candidate will be working with students in Gr K-4 with complex needs.

cole Springfield Elementary School is located in the Town of Peace River and has an enrollment of approximately 330 students. Programming at the school consists of English, French Immersion and French Second Language programs for Grades K-4 students.

Qualifications: Educational Assistant Certificate or equivalent would be an asset

Experience and/or training working in working with students in a school settingSkills: Ability to work with children in group settings and one-on-one situations

Ability to work with children with varying needs

Excellent communication skills

Experience working in a classroom setting

Ability to work as part of a teamAssets: This school offers French programming to its students, therefore knowledge of the French language is considered an asset.

$20.72 to $25.99 per hour (dependent on experience and education in accordance with the collective agreement between the CUPE Local 4839 and the Peace River School Division).
