The Steward School seeks a Summer Camp Counselor to join our team of dedicated individuals providing exemplary experience for our Summer Programming participants. This is a part-time, non-benefited position reporting to the Director of Auxiliary Programs. The position spans the summer months of June-August with working hours from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m., Monday Friday.Job Responsibilities: Serve as a supervisory member of the Summer Experience team ensuring the safety and well-being of all participants.

Assist with all aspects of summer camp programming including attendance, communication, and organization.

Supervise a group of support staff and campers during off-campus excursions.

Assist with oversight and adherence of vendors and staff to all camp policies and procedures.

Assists with the supervision of group movement to maintain schedule and daily timelines.

Qualifications: Associates, Bachelor's or Masters degree (Education, Recreation or Early Childhood Development) is preferred.

1-3 years relevant experience.

Strong organizational and communication skills.

The ability to drive a Minibus is preferred.

Previous lifeguard experience is preferred.

Current First Aid/CPR/AED training preferred (training will be provided if not current).

A collaborative and positive demeanor with strong classroom management skills.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Google Drive; experience with Camp Brain or camp registration software is preferred.

Energetic, adaptable mindset in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits: Commensurate with experience and education.
