EIPS is recruiting a full-time Grade 3 Teacher at Heritage Hills Elementary.

Heritage Hills Elementary serves approximately 520 students in kindergarten the Grade 6, with 25 teaching staff and nine support staff. The school is located in Sherwood Park, AB.

Heritage Hills Elementary is a dual-track school offering programming in English and French Immersion. The school strives to help every child be a successful, self-motivated learner in a safe and caring school environment. The goal is to empower students to be lifelong learners in a changing world.

Commencing August 27, 2024 Open to internal and external applicants, priority will be given to EIPS teachers who hold a continuous contract Qualifications: Bachelor of Education degree

Valid Alberta Teaching Certificate

Knowledge and training of the Fountas and Pinnell Benchmark Assessment Kits and their meaningful implementation in the classroom, used to guide instruction

Effective organization and classroom management skills

Ability to create a classroom environment where students feel safe, supported, and challenged

Excellent verbal and written skills

Experience or familiarity with analyzing data and using data to inform decisions and/or instruction

Strong collaboration and teamwork skills

Growth mindset and ability to use feedback to improve practice

Relentless drive to set and achieve personal and professional goals
