St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Part Time, Temporary, Educational Assistant 1 for work assignment at Paul Kane High School , working directly with a student offering academic & behavioural support.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 25 hrs. /week; 5 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Part-Time, Temporary

Hourly Rate: $21.98 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position: Experience implementing positive behavior support plan strategies required

Experience implementing ILP and IPP goals

Verbal Intervention Training is an asset

Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred

Candidate must have strong skills in managing students behavior

Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset

Experience working with students with various diverse learning and behavioural needs an asset

Experience with complex needs and autism is an asset

Experience with complex learning profilesApplications, either written or electronic, must include documentation which describes: Highest level of formal education.

Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.

Courses, seminars, specialized training.

Experience related to the position.
