St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Part Time, Probationary, Educational Assistant 1 for work assignment at Lorne Akins Junior High School , working directly with a student offering academic & behavioural support.

More than 9000 students are enrolled in St. Albert Public Schools. From Preschool to Grade 12, our students learn and succeed in programs that are recognized for excellence and their focus on citizenship and sound values.

Hours of Work : 20 hrs./week; 4 hrs./day with future potential of increased hours; Monday-Friday; Part-Time, ProbationarySpecific Needs/Requirements for this position:

?Experience implementing positive behavior support plan strategies required

?Experience implementing ILP and IPP goals

?Verbal Intervention Training is an asset

?Experience using assistive technology an asset

?Formal Post-Secondary training is preferred

?Candidate must have strong skills in managing students behavior

?Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset

?Experience working with students with various diverse learning and behavioural needs an asset

?Preferred candidates would have experience working with students with complex needs and autismApplications, either written or electronic, must include documentation which describes:

?Highest level of formal education.

?Professional certificates, trade certificates, etc.

?Courses, seminars, specialized training.

?Experience related to the position.
