St. Albert Public Schools is currently recruiting a Part Time, Probationary, Health Recovery Facilitator LPN for a work assignment with Student Services.

Hours of Work : 25.0 hrs. /week; 5.0 hrs. /day; Monday-Friday; Part Time Probationary

Hourly Rate: $32.67 per hour, as per the CUPE Collective Agreement

Specific Needs/Requirements for this position: Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Experience working in pediatrics an asset

Completion of Pediatric Course through AHS Homecare preferred

Ability to perform tracheal suction and ongoing respiratory assessment preferred

Experience and knowledge in supporting students with a seizure disorder an asset

Ability to support assistive technology usage an asset

Experience using visual aids an asset

Experience working with a multi-disciplinary team an asset

Assist student with g-tube feeding and medication administration, toileting and physical tasks (lifting and transferring) an asset

Experience working with elementary students with various diverse needs an asset

Knowledge and experience administering medication to children an asset

Experience with use of oxygen tank and concentrator an asset

Experience working with children who have Diabetes; measuring and administering Insulin is preferred; training will be provided.

Previous experience working with students with complex medical and cognitive disorders an asset*Training in requirements will be provided.

Qualifications & Experience: Must be a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Courses, seminars, and specialized training related to required skills.
