INNOVATIVE TEACHING AND LEARNING CONSULTANT

REQUIRED for ST. PAUL SCHOOL DIVISION St. Paul Education requires a 1.0 FTE Innovative Teaching and Learning Consultant commencing the 2024-25 school year.

St. Paul Education is located in St. Paul, Alberta and serves approximately 3650 students at 18 school sites.

The successful candidate will: Work collaboratively with school administration and central office teams to support innovative teaching and learning programming in all division schools,

Provide guidance, support and professional development to teachers and support staff in the development of effective pedagogical practices that support quality teaching and learning in division schools,

Be comfortable working with students and in elementary, junior and senior high settings,

Have an advanced understanding of how to leverage educational technology, including artificial intelligence, to support highly effective teaching and learning practice throughout the school division,

Develop networks and partnerships to promote best practices in teaching and learning with division staff,

Have a valid Alberta Teaching Certificate,

Be committed to student-centered learning,

Be collaborative and committed to building relationships with students, parents and staff.Ideally the successful candidate will have a Masters Degree in Educational Technology or a related field and have a proven track record of effectively using innovative teaching and learning strategies to support high quality teaching and learning. Preference will be given to candidates with training and/or experience in supporting teachers and students in second language instruction, including one or more of French Immersion, Cree, German and EAL programming.
