Pacific Academy is seeking trained applicants interested in joining our school team to provide support for students.

Qualifications: Education Assistant certificate

Experience working with students with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Behaviour Disorders an asset

Criminal Record Check

Understanding of and commitment to Christian Education

Actively and personally support a Pentecostal/Charismatic statement of faith

Friendly, flexible, self-motivated, team player

Fluent in oral and written English

Responsibilities may include: Provide support to students within the regular classroom and the Learning Support Centre

Assist with the implementation of IEP and Support Plans under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator

Work as part of a team of Education Assistants under the direction of the Learning Support Coordinator

Assist students during emotional outbursts using non-violent crisis intervention strategies

The remuneration for this position ranges from $17.68 to $ 25.66 per hour, determined based on experience and qualifications.
