Vacancy Details: 2.0 ( 100 minutes per day, divided as per nutritional breaks) - until June 21, 2024 Job Summary

Supervision Monitors provide general supervision and monitoring of students during nutrition breaks, recess, departure, and arrival times, both indoors and outdoors.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education Requirements

Grade 12 diploma or equivalent

Experience working with school aged children

Skills and Ability Requirements Demonstrate care and concern for the safety of all students.

Ability to keep your attention to the safety of the students

Promptness and dependability.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team in cooperation with the school staff.

Willingness to address disciplinary issues and to report them to administration.

Ability to treat all students in a respectful, responsible, and fair manner.

Ability to demonstrate appropriate responses to student-initiated interactions.

Ability to maintain confidentiality as the norm in all issues related to students, parents, and school.

Physically able to perform duties outside in all forms of weather.

Physically able to climb stairs and walk distances during supervision.

First aid and CPR an asset. Essential Requirements Monitor and assist with arrival and departure of students during bus duty.

Organize students upon arrival and departure in an orderly manner.

Monitor outside yard duty during all recess periods.

Supervise hallways, classroom, and bathroom checks.

Monitor classrooms/lunch areas during breaks.

Monitor students in designated areas during inclement weather.

Ensure adherence to all COVID-19 and school safety protocols.

Always ensure the security and safety of students.

Address disciplinary issues and report any concerns regarding student behaviour to the Principal/Vice Principal.

Seek out Principal/Vice Principal guidance when required.
