Director of Business Development Crescent School is looking for a motivated and inspiring Director of Business Development to join our team. The ideal candidate is never satisfied with mediocre results and is able to identify and implement new business opportunities to achieve financial growth. Always wanting to surpass prior revenue targets, you would manage, coach, and lead a team. Whether it is year-over-year revenue growth, hitting targets according to plan, or mentoring teammates to perform their best, you are always up for the challenge. Reporting to the Chief Finance and Administrative Officer, this role requires a business development mindset with the ability to cultivate strong and lasting relationships with customers and internal business partners.

Responsibilities: Designs and implements the Schools auxiliary revenue generation strategy and business development programs to ensure profitability, continued revenue growth and risk mitigation strategies;

Continuously grow and lead the Schools existing business lines: Coyotes Den, facility rentals, summer camps, enrichment programs and the Summer Academic Program. This involves program development and management, promotion, managing registration and hiring and training staff and volunteers; supervises staff and provides coaching, feedback and growth opportunities;

Reviews and analyzes sales and program data, prepare reports and proposals and implements strategies to boost sales in all revenue generating areas; researches new opportunities and viable income streams and develops innovative revenue generating products and services in consultation with stakeholders such as Headmasters office, Crescent Parent Association, Athletics, etc.; coordinates planning activities with other functional areas and stakeholders within the School;

Enhances existing relationships and builds new ones with customers, partners and vendors;

Maintains current knowledge of best practices by engaging in professional learning opportunities.The successful candidate will have: A university degree in business, master of business administration, marketing or related field;

A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role;

Experience in education is considered an asset;

Adept at aligning goals with long term organizational strategies and managing multiple projects, conflicting deadlines;

An entrepreneurial spirit with a demonstrated ability to manage, motivate and coach staff;

Ability to manage issues in a calm and solution-oriented manner;

Strong public speaking, presentation and problem-solving skills with a focus on creative resolution and continuous improvement;

Proficient with computer applications (Microsoft Office, GSuite, Camp Brain, or similar programs) and can synthesize data into reports;

Strong financial acuity and budgeting skills;

Growth mindset, curiosity and willingness to accept new perspectives;

Compassion, and a desire to cultivate courage and nurture connection;

A passionate team player and a strong contributor to a coaching culture of growth and flourishing;
