The Opportunity: Reporting into the Director, AWC, the Receptionist is a key member of the AWC team and our auxiliary programs which includes a comprehensive summer day camp program. You will greet visitors, manage and monitor entry into the building, answer the AWC telephone line, manage the reception inbox, and respond to inquiries in a welcoming and professional manner that represents Branksome Hall. As the Assistant to the Camp program, the successful candidate will assist with registration, respond to inquiries, manage the camps inbox and other administrative duties, in addition to supporting day-to-day operations while Camp is in session. The hours of work for this position are 8:30 AM 4:30 PM, Monday Friday. Hours of work may shift slightly as we transition from the end of the school year to the start of summer camp operations. This is a 9-month contact until the end of August 2025. Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to: Receptionist: Greet visitors and direct visitors while managing and monitoring entry into the building Answer the AWC phone line and manage the reception inbox, following up and answering inquiries in a timely and professional manner Provide general administrative assistance to the Director, AWC, to support the AWC operations, including setting up and managing access to student and employee ID cards Auxiliary Programming & Camp Administrative Support: Support auxiliary programming by coordinating event calendars, room bookings, and preparing materials while liaising with external groups and community members as needed Supporting the Director, Summer Camps for Branksome Hall Day Camps with administrative tasks including camp registration, responding to parent inquiries, manage the camps email inbox, etc. Support Camp Operations throughout the duration of the program including weekly communications with parents, provide training support, oversee attendance and logistic tasks, manage allergy lists, etc. Qualifications and Experience: Post-secondary education or training in a related field is an asset 2-3 years of relevant experience, preferably in a customer service or administrative capacity Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to positively engage with students, colleagues, parents, and community members. Prior experience with working with youth and a genuine passion to continue Excellent customer service skills and attention to detail Proficiency in Google Suite and a quick learner with new databases Why Join Branksome Hall: Joining Branksome Hall will change your life.
