R. F. Staples Secondary School (Gr 7-12), located in Westlock, Alberta, approximately 90 km northwest of Edmonton, requires a Probationary Part Time (.60 FTE) Junior High French Immersion Teacher. This position commences August 26, 2024 and will end June 27, 2025.The Division

Qualifications: Must hold a valid Alberta teaching certificate

Proficiency in the use of educational technology

Understanding and application of assessment for learning as demonstrated by individualized instruction

Ability to work as part of a team

Successful experience in a distance education environmentRequirements: Thorough knowledge and understanding of the Alberta Curriculum

Ability and willingness to travel and work with students, and parents

Ability to teach to and address a wide range of student needs

Be a strong team member but able to work independently

Be committed to a learner-centered philosophy

Maintain close contact with students, parents, and other stakeholders

Monitor, guide and support students in their progress
