Business System Lead - ERP testing - 12 month contract

Job Summary

The Business System Lead oversees and manages the quality assurance processes for our Oracle ERP implementation, specifically focusing on Finance and HCM modules.

Accountabilities:

Leadership and Oracle ERP Expertise Lead QA operations for Oracle ERP project, with emphasis on Finance and HCM modules.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define testing objectives and deliverables aligned with business requirements.

Develop and implement QA strategies to ensure comprehensive testing coverage and efficient testing processes.

Oversee the entire QA process from requirements gathering to defect management.

Maintain traceability of requirements throughout the testing lifecycle.

Communicate quality risks, gaps, and issues to stakeholders and lead triage meetings.

Lead triage meetings to prioritize and address critical issues.

Test Planning and Execution: Develop and maintain detailed test plans, test cases, and test data for Oracle ERP applications.

Implement and evolve QA processes to achieve effective test signals and scale testing efforts across multiple products.

Conduct reviews and analysis of system specifications to ensure QA activities meet project requirements.

Operational Tasks: Execute test cases manually or using automated testing tools as necessary.

Identify and report defects with detailed steps to reproduce, severity, and impact analysis.

Work closely with developers and business analysts to understand requirements and resolve issues.

Coordinate with project managers to prioritize testing activities and ensure timely delivery of QA milestones.

Collaborate with IT Services to test all integrations and customization between Oracle ERP and other systems.

Continuous Improvement: Continuously improve the testing infrastructure, tools, and processes.

Define quality metrics and implement measurements to determine test effectiveness and efficiency.

Promote a quality-driven engineering culture that supports rapid and confident product releases.

Qualifications: Completion of an undergraduate university degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field or a combination of education, training and experience deemed to be equivalent.

Minimum of 5 years of hands-on QA experience with leadership responsibilities, including experience in ERP or HCM implementation in roles such as Business Analyst (BA), Business Systems Analyst (BSA), or Testing Lead.

Extensive experience with Oracle ERP systems, particularly in Finance and HCM modules or experience implementing any ERP system.

Strong functional expertise in Finance/HR.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Proficient in testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.

Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities.

Familiarity with product development life cycles and test cycles (unit, integration, smoke). Preferred Skills: Knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks.

Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
