Reporting directly to the Superintendent of Schools, principals are members of a team of skilled, committed, talented and progressive educators in an environment of site-based decision making.
The successful candidate will: be instrumental in leading and inspiring the educational programming for NGPS students;
based on Inclusive Education practices, demonstrate a commitment to student learning and success through a focus on curriculum-instruction-assessment, the NGPS Quality Learning Environment, and the Teaching and Leadership Quality Standards;
foster effective Collaborative Team Meetings;
work with Central Administration, school staff, and School Council to facilitate the vision of the School Advancement Plan;
work effectively and collaborate regularly with Principal colleagues throughout the school jurisdiction;
foster effective relationships with the school community and the Valleyview community;
demonstrate outstanding communication and interpersonal skills;
have successful elementary school teaching experience and school-based leadership experience; and
