12 mos., 40.00 hours/week. Duration: This position will work out of Williams Lake and may also have duties assigned in other
areas of the District.
Rate of Pay: Level 1: 35.14 Level 2: 38.00Threshold Qualifications: Valid BC Driver's License - Class 5 Physically fit and capable of performing all assigned duties Valid BC Tradesman Certificate Valid BC Gas Certification Current knowledge of all provincial and municipal codes or regulations that have a direct
bearing on this trade Sufficient knowledge of the heating trade to carry out required duties Proven ability to read and understand plans and/or blueprintsDesirable Qualifications: Back Flow Connections certificate Sprinkler Fitter certificate Small water system certificateDuties Include, but are not limited to: Maintain a current knowledge of all provincial and municipal codes or regulations that have a
direct bearing on this trade Inspect, install, modify, repair and maintain all inside and outside water distribution systems
and fixtures, sewers, septic tanks and lagoons Inspect, install, modify, repair and maintain all gas and oil fired mechanical and forced air
heating systems, gas lines and regulators Carry out preventative maintenance inspections of facilities and fixtures Erect and use ladders and scaffolds as required Ensure an adequate supply of repair parts and materials by submitting lists to supervisors Ensure safety procedures are observed at all times Perform other operations and maintenance functions as directedFringe benefits are as provided in the current Union Agreement.
