Position Summary:

This position provides technical, administrative, and collection management services in multiple elementary school libraries. Elementary Library Technicians support the maintenance and use of library resources in various formats, model digital citizenship and lifelong learning skills, and demonstrate a growth mind-set in support of student learning.

Duties & Responsibilities:

This is an itinerant position, working with Teacher-Librarians in elementary schools. The successful candidate will provide each school library with specialized organizational skills and administrative support for the non-teaching tasks associated with the maintenance and use of library resources. The position links and processes resources within the library catalogue according to district-wide standards, promotes and assists with various library programs and services, and contributes to the growth and development of the library for 21st century learners.


Completion of a two (2) year certificate or diploma at a community college Library & Information Technician. The successful candidate must have strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work both within a team environment and with minimal supervision.
