S2122-36 Educational Assistant - Cold Lake Middle SchoolWe are seeking a full-time (1.0) Educational Assistant commencing as soon as possible and for the 2021-2022 school year. The assignment involves assisting with student educational program needs including social skills and behavior skills. The successful applicant should have a growth mindset who is patient and caring with students in grades 5 to 8.

Cold Lake Middle School is located in the City of Cold Lake with approximately 250 students in grades 5-8. The goal at CLMS is to educate the students and foster responsible and ethical citizens for the future.

Preference will be given to applicants who have : Post-Secondary training and/or experience as an Educational Assistant

Knowledge and experience with behavioral strategies

Experience working one-on-one and/or in a classroom setting

Knowledge of documentation procedures and proficiency with computers

Knowledge and experience in alternate communications strategies

Familiarity with strategies to address different learning styles and experience with Individual Program Plans Training and skills that would be an asset include: Relative experience in educational assistance, and/or rehabilitation

Previous experience in a Middle School setting

SIVA and/or Non-Violent Crisis Intervention trainingHow to Apply:
