CIC offers the Total Care Education System to support students to achieve their goal of getting into a post-secondary institution of their choice. Our Total Care Education provides services that can support international students to meet their Academic, Social, Emotional and Physical needs.
This position provides support for international students requiring administrative assistance required to study in Canada. It is an administrative role within the Admissions department which requires excellent customer service and time management skills.
Duties and Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Process prospective student applications and maintain database for direct applicants, working closely with Admission Officers and Student Services Officers
Prepare, issue, and keep records of conditional and confirmed admission documents
Track and update application status and follow up with agents/parents/applicants
Provide and update all departments with the necessary information related to admission regularly
Maintain Admission database and filing system for new, current and graduated students
Maintain Agents database and filing system for new and current agents
Co-ordinate Airport transportation upon request
Co-ordinate Agents commission payment
Provide weekly Application and Letter of Acceptance statistics for Managers Meeting
Co-ordinate administrative processes with Canadian study permits and re-entry visas, CAQ application, renewing passports and foreign visas i.e. US, UK, Schengen Visas
Track and ensure all students have valid immigration documentation monthly
Assist with orientation sessions with parents at the beginning of the semester
Issue enrollment confirmation letters to students and invitation letters to parents
Co-ordinate travel arrangements with travel agents
Prepare and send out courier packages when necessary
Order supplies for Admission and Liaison DepartmentQualifications: Postsecondary degree/diploma in a related field, or equivalent training and work experience
Fluency in Mandarin is an asset
Microsoft Office Suite applications
Must be able to work in a fast paced environment with deadlines
Experience working in an international and/or an academic environment could be an asset
Knowledge of international travel documents and procedures, as well as Immigration Canadas policies and procedures is an assetHours of Work: Regular business hours
