ACCOUNTS CLERK - PAYABLES
Under the general direction of the Finance Manager, the Accounts Payable Clerk will
receive and process invoices (both District and school-based), assist with
processing purchase orders, reconcile vendor statements, process vendor
payments, maintain a variety of files and assist with clerical duties.
The successful incumbent will have:
Successful completion of Grade 12 (Senior Secondary School Graduation);
Successful completion of a minimum of a six (6) month post-secondary training (Office Administration Program) including accounting/bookkeeping courses;
two (2) years' recent related experience in accounts payable;
knowledge and experience with tax legislation,
standards and procedures; Minimum net keyboarding speed 35 wpm online Typing Tests are not accepted;
Knowledge and experience with word processing skills - Microsoft Office (i.e. Word, Outlook, Excel, Power Point, Access) as well as SharePoint and Adobe;
Knowledge and experience with accounting programs.

maintain excellent interpersonal skills.This is a full-time unionized position, thirty-five (35) hours per week, twelve (12) months of the year, offering a wage rate of $25.11 per hour, plus a comprehensive employee benefit package including extended health and dental coverage, short-term and long-term disability insurance.
