Full-time, indefinite termEstablished in 1891, Ashbury College is a leading independent school for boys and girls, Grades 4 to 12. Our extensive use of technology to support teaching and learning includes providing all faculty and senior school students with Apple lap tops and iPads, as well as some of the most current programs and applications in the field of education. We are seeking a Help Desk Technician to provide first and second line technical support to staff and students experiencing computer hardware and application issues. Working closely as a member of our 6 person IT team, your specific responsibilities will include: Responding to user issues and inquiries regarding hardware, software, and applications, and identifying and resolving immediate problems.

Leading the repair and hardware maintenance program of computing hardware devices, and escalating higher level issues

Providing hardware and software training and technical assistance to users

Assisting new users with technology onboarding

Providing IT / AV set up and support for live streamed events, functions, and meetings (MS Teams, Zoom, in person)

Researching problems and recommending potential solutions including hardware and software changes and /or upgrades

Assisting the IT team in various projects as requestedAs the ideal candidate, you have completed a post-secondary program in a technology-related field, or have an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Your experience also includes successfully working in a help desk/support environment, including software installation and troubleshooting.Additionally, you consistently demonstrate:

Customer service-oriented support to a wide variety of users running multiple database platforms

Assessment and troubleshooting of a variety of technology issues and problems as they arise

Identifying emerging trends and technologies and determining their applicability

Collaboration with IT colleagues on resolving problems and other technology initiatives

Respectful and supportive professional interactions with diverse community members
