Marketing and Communications Specialist

As a dynamic, engaging, creative professional with exceptional relationship-building and communication skills, you have a passion for writing and storytelling. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, you will be responsible for delivering brand-appropriate, timely and meaningful communications on behalf of Crescent School to keep all members of the community informed on school news, events and programs.

Responsibilities: Writing, editing and gathering stories for Crescents communication properties. These include weekly and monthly school newsletters, and quarterly newsletters from the Crescent Parent Association and for alumni and past parent audiences

Serving as Editor of, and contributor to, Past & Present, Crescents biannual alumni magazine

Developing and implementing communication plans for school processes and events

Developing and updating content for Crescent Schools public website, community intranet site (known as the Green Room) and alumni website

Co-managing Crescent Schools official Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram accounts and collaborate with administrators of other Crescent-affiliated social media sites, ensuring they are brand-compliant and assisting with strategic content development

Maintaining the project status report for the weekly Marketing & Communication department meetings

Tracking and analyzing website and social media audience traffic analyticsThe successful candidate will have: Post-secondary education;

Minimum 3 years experience working in the communications field, e.g. journalist, public relations, marketing firm or department;

Exceptional writing and editing skills;

Strong attention to detail and well developed organizational skills;

Superior customer service focus and collaboration skills;

Growth mindset, curiosity and willingness to accept new perspectives;

A burning desire to become fully immersed in Crescents positive and progressive culture.

Experience with GSuite, Blackbaud, Hootsuite an asset
