Production Artist – Ref #CTH-SMO or LAC-NT

  • Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30am – 5pm
  • Salary: Starting at $32,000/year

The Career Foundation is currently seeking a Production Artist on behalf of one of our employer partners.

The Production Artist will report to the Graphic Department Manager and will take on designs during pre-production to ensure accuracy and prepare them for print or digital publication.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Liaise with product art managers to define design requirements
  • Review graphics, layouts and fonts before releasing to production
  • Finalize designs using image editing software
  • Retouch images to improve quality both in print and digital formats
  • Archive produced images and graphics

 

Requirements:

  • Proven work experience as a Production Artist, Graphic Designer or similar role
  • Solid knowledge of the printing process
  • Hands-on experience with graphic design software and image editing tools (e.g. Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator)
  • Creativity skills with attention to detail
  • Additional qualification in Graphic Design is a plus
  • College/Post-Secondary Education in Graphic Design
  • 1 years’ experience in a similar/junior role
